CLAUS INN respects and cares for the build and natural environment. The venue was planned and developed by converting existing buildings rather than to demolish it.
Solar energy was used since 2000 when the first guests arrived. This was extended and is currently contributing to at least 80% of the available hot water. The back up system for power cuts include gas, a generator and various energy saving gadgets. A significant amount of rain and underground water are captured and use for garden purposes.
Organic gardening is been practiced on a limited scale. The fruit trees on the property include: Almonds, Grapes, Lemons, Olives, Peaches, Pomegranites, Wallnuts, Plums, Quinces, Vigs & excellent Prickly Pears. This Haven often reminds us to appreciate the beauty of nature and our duty towards conservation and maintaining the environment for future generations
